    The Ring In Return

It's been a while since I last came on here.
I could tell because the last Blog Entry says that my boyfriend and I had been together for four and a half months.
We just celebrated our 20th month last weekend. That's a year and eight months of being together... our second anniversary is fast approaching.

I'm on here because I'm bored of studying, and I need a temporary distraction. I would have gone on Facebook, but I finally handed over my password to my boyfriend today and he's been on there all day. It seems I've lost my account to him. Perhaps it's time I use his. I have his password as well. No harm there...

So... what's new? Well, I have a neck piercing, now. December 23rd makes it a year since I've had it. That is also the final healing date. I also have a new Hip Piercing (the other one rejected), but I can't give a definite date on that one. I believe I got it somewhere near our first Anniversary, in February. I'm doing French this semester. The classes are amazing: the test today could make a priest suicidal. I studied, of course, but I might as well have not.

Anyway, I have nothing of particular interest to say. Just dropped by and got inspired by all the dark backgrounds and purple colours.
Had to leave a word or two behind.

    Fare Thee Well Again,
    SisstreDaethe.

    The Return

I havent been on here in a very long time, but I decided to drop by and give my space a bit of a makeover, which I think I succeeded in doing. I updated the information, deleted some of my old once-upon-a-time lists that dont mean anything to me anymore. I accepted some friends and invited some. I cant promise to be on here very often, but I can promise to try to be on here more often.

At present, I'm IMing my FB- female bestie. I have to specify because I have a male bestie as well. I love them both. The male one is a metal-head who owes me a black iPod that he's sending oh so very soon. I'm really excited about that because I've wanted an iPod since the 10th grade and I'm going to University now. That's about 3 or 4 years now. But Mom could never really afford an iPod when I wanted other stuff like a laptop and college and my own house and shit. So the iPod got put on hold for a while, and my male bestie decided to get it for my birthday present. Granted, my birthday is almost coming again full circle but it was bought from a long time ago and distance- separated by countries and continents- kinda hindered the delivery part. My female bestie has presents for me too from the same time period. We just got separated by schools and cnflicting schedules.

    What else?
I have a new boyfriend that's been my old boyfriend now for how long we've been toegther. I'm really enthralled about that. We've been together for four and a half months which is the longest relationship I've ever been in and I have NO REGRETS. I love him to death, and it's a glutton-satisfaction knowing he loves me just as much (or more, he argues). Right now we're physically separated and regardless of how much strain that puts on us it doesn't strain our relationship at all. We would prefer to be together, but I would say we're handling this all very well. Particularly ME who went as far as to set him up with another girl in my absence. Just to keep him company. He knows his limits and I trust him to stay within them. Lucky bastard!

And then there's school. I finally graduated from college. Man, honestly I never thought I'd make it this far. When I was in high school and everyone was making their big plans to go to college, I was wondering if my parents could even afford to send me. I underestimated them. Well, I underestimated my Mom. After the restraining order against my dad, I moved out on my own and she paid for everything. College life was good. Very good. I had my fair share of experiments with looks and styles and music and even boys- getting a new significant other every few weeks. And then I tried to settle down that went terribly. Maybe because I decided to and I kinda planned it. With THIS boyfriend, we just kind of landed in each other's laps and in each other's arms... bed even. You never know real love until you find it. And that's the reality. After all the bullshit I've been through in my life, I sure as hell deserve to have found my love at 18. Fuck yeah! And to add to it, I leave school with honor roll stuff and certificates and good reports from teachers, as well as an unconditional acceptancxe into a back-up choice University that became my first choice after greater consideration. All in all, I feel pretty good about my life. It ain't easy and I got a lotta struggling to do but I have a Mom who's learning to let go and just accept me as I am. My so-called-father is almost completely out of my life. I have my freedom and basic independence. I have two best friends who're like family. I have other good friends who spoil me and take care of me. I've got a boyfriend who does the same- never leaving me wanting. Gotta love him. And to think before we met, we were both pissed about a previous failed attempt to settle down and now messing around, with love and settling down being the farthest thing from our minds. He swore never to fall in love again. I swore there was no such thing as love, no such thing as someone besides fam (which includes my besties and good friends) loving me.

You know sometimes I swear my life is the worst and honestly I have all the right in the world to say so. I've got a father who's damaged me so badly I wake up from nightmares at night and 99% of those nights I dont even have my boyfriend lying next to me to turn to or anyone else for that matter. My Mom lives 3000 miles from me and I see her once (usually) or twice (rarely) a year. And even though I live alone, my house ain't no palace or no safe-house or nice real estate. Sometimes I look around me and everyone else aroud me seems to be making progress while I'm stuck here not moving. But I'm learning that in my life, I'm always gonna be a late maturer and late receiver, but when I get it, I GET IT. I hit puberty real late but when I got there, I got it all. I put up with my bullshit Dad for 17 years and then I managed to rid him from my life. See my birthday presents are almost a year late. I put up with enough bullshit males like my so-called-father and all my stupid ex-bfs who didnt know how to appreciate me at all then finally I land the world's greatest boyfriend. Suffer without an iPod and then land a black 80GB one 3 or 4 years later. I KNOW FOR A FACT that everything I've got, I DESERVE. I've put up with a lot of shit to get where I am. I've had to fuck sleep and study all night to get my grades. I've had to ditch parties and beach and movies to go to school. I've endured a lot in my young years. And thus I've earned quite a few valuables as well- true love, true friendship, a real mother and the knowledge of true sacrifice.

    I'm not optimistic. I'm a pessimist with a purpose.

    Volme VI

    I can't believe he's left me here
Alive, Alone in death and fear
    It's silent, much too silent
So that I can hear each silent movement

"Love?" I call his name but he
Ne'er even 'tempts to answer me
Betrayed and left alone to die
'Tis well I now break down and cry
But why? 'Tis what I wanted, to
Die and restart this life anew

The wind comes in a rush of breath
And leaves a miasma of death
Then arms embrace my waist and, I
Turn 'round and peer into blue eyes
He smiles and I am mesmerized

"I love you," he now says to me
He holds me and I fear to see
That he's the one I often saw
As morbid shadows on my wall
Who watched o'er me, since ever I
Remember, even afore my wish to die

I touch his face, his skin so cold
    Immortal, never aging old
    He smiles again
    and in the night
    We kiss beneath the wondorus
    moonlight

    ..::TRL::..
TODAY - "Goodbye For Now" jumps back up to #2!!
Will the Warriors land P.O.D.'s 4th (and unprecedented) #1 TRL video?!?!

We are calling every single Warrior to get involved, Last week we were unable to break into that #1 spot, having held onto to #3 for 3 days, we finally were able to move up to #2. Sadly on Thursday we took a fall to #4, with the Warriors voting all weekend long "Goodbye For Now" moved back up to the #2 spot. If everyone is voting, we can get that #1 spot this week!
Tomorrow is Valentines day, Warriors can show P.O.D. the love by landing the #1 spot!!!

    Some P.O.D. TRL Facts
First #1 video for P.O.D. was Rock the Party. Alive and Will You both enjoyed that #1 spot as well. The highest that Boom and Youth of the Nation ever got was #6! Honestly we have done a great job with this new video! Help get the video to #1 by getting your votes in next week! It would go down in rock history at TRL if we had another Number One video!

It's a blessing to be involved with the band behind the scenes in this way, So make sure to get your reports in. So they know who you are.

..::The Warriors Tour 2 "Guilty by Association"::..

We know that you guys are dying to know about the Spring Tour and the bands they have chosen. Back in 1999 P.O.D. went on a groundbreaking tour that has been talked about for years. The Warriors Tour, a tour dedicated to the fanbase that had always stood by them and supported them the "Warriors". Now 7 years later The Warriors Tour is back with round 2, "Guilty by Association" here is the phenomenal lineup!!

    Official Site
The members of Pillar - featuring vocalist Rob Beckley, bassist Kalel, guitarist Noah Henson, and drummer Lester Estelle - bleed boldness on "Bring Me Down," a defiant song rich in spirited energy and striking dynamics that accentuate a sharp lyrical lashing. "Underneath It All" likewise faces up with gritty guitars and hard-hitting rhythms that build toward a crisp and confident chorus. Even when they lessen the wattage, such as with "Simply" and "Rewind," Pillar finds power in the passion and conviction of their performances.

With each song, Where Do We Go From Here, their fourth album for Flicker Records, epitomizes a selective musical approach in which only the best parts are kept for maximum impact. From "Hypnotized" to "Aftershock," the resulting songs burst with sweeping tempo shifts, relentless melodies, and a resolute, stand-tall attitude.

    Official Site
Joshua Scogin former lead singer for Norma Jean is now leading the four members, collectively known as The Chariot, Scogin's fresh start into musicality is something he actually looks forward to, even if he must begin a few steps behind the success he had garnered with Norma Jean. "Creating something out of nothing…it is the basic concept of art," he elaborates. "I love it."

As Scogin's legacy precedes him though, The Chariot is far from starting from "nothing." The buzz behind The Chariot has been floating through hardcore music circles since its formation, even before their first live performance. So imagine how that buzz escalated following an onslaught of complete musical brutality, stage acrobatics and utter chaos, otherwise known as The Chariot's live show.
    Official Site
"This band is about a return to your roots. This is the South. This is about kids being trashy and realizing that being southern is cool in and of itself. You don't have to be 'scene' to be southern or to listen to this music. We want to get back to letting our background speak through heavy music that doesn't sound like the fifty thousand other bands that are doing it right now.

"I am so fed up with people acting like cowards, and so tired of the many things I've lived for in the past," says Dallas. "I feel like it's time to get back to where I was when I was young. This band is proud of who we are as people, what we believe, and where we come from. I feel like so much of music today, especially those who come from a Christian background, spend so much time hiding who they really are, or being ashamed as bad."

    ..::TRL Voting Details::..

Let's get to number one next week Warriors! "Goodbye For Now" spent Monday and Tuesday at #3, Wednesday moved up to #2, but sadly Thursday it fell to #4. With new video's premiering regularly it's going to take all the Warriors to claim the #1 spot and remain in the countdown.

    Volum V

He sets me down upon damp grass
As gently as if I were glass
    And I could in a second's whim
Slip through his fingers, and from him
Fall to the ground and break apart
And leave an ulcer in his heart

"May it please thee if ask you now
Just where we are and why and how?
    I doubt thee not
    Love, please believe
But shan't you tell me, 'lest I grieve
Of being left inside the dark
Is that a noise I hear? Hark!'

He disappears- him I cannot see
There goes my love, there goes my glee
The wind is blowing o'er again
The remnants of my lonely friend
    Like memories I hold within
Of loving what must be a sin

    Personality Swings

I've been having a lot of these lately. I've been having a lot of these throughout my entire life, but now more than ever they are beginning to be more prevalent. Usually, my personality change went on daily changes, and now it changes by the second, the minute, the hour.
I do believe the caccoon in which I hid, protected, as I matured into what I now I am, it's shell has been cracked, shattered and shed. Now, all that is left are the scales on my flesh, all over my body, there to shield me as my evolution continues. No one, no not even I, can say what is beneath it.
       For I know not.

    >Morbid<

    Volume IV

    His voice, a sweet caress
    Across my chest
    I feel his breathing
    It is cold
    No it is warm
    I cannot tell
I am not sure if he is really breathing

    "Love, where is our destination?"
    I am frightened and
    I wish to know
"Faith, Darling, have some in me,"
    he utters
Is that sorrow that I sense
    Within his voice of frankenscence

    "Love, dear forgive my questioning"
He whisks us off into more wind
    The wind is warm
    'Tis far from cold
    This exodus is solely told
    When still in journey

    And he is mine
And he says, "'tis true that I am thine . . ."
    2/7/2006

    Volume III

    The darkness spread o'er us
    A blanket of black composure
The wind in my ear sings a chorus
The dew falling- a needed moisture
    It settles in my hair
My hair is blowing wildly with the air

I cannot see but I do trust
    He knows whenceforth we go
    He must
    'Tis darker now, and hotter
    too
    I feel the coming heat
    Do you?

I force my eyes awake, but see
    Nothing, no- not even me
It is too dark, no light around
Can't tell at all those morbid sounds
    My Love will save me
    I am sure
He holds me and I want for more

    We're moving still
    Too fast for time
    And he whispers,
    "Sweet, Darling, you're mine."

    Non-Exhaustible

Anyone would think that after all I did on my site for this topic, then I would have nothing else to say about it, but there is always somthing to say about the Gothic Subculture- Always.
I can't imagine clamping shut about it when I know the truth that is in lacking. So many misconceptions are held of it. The other day, my English teacher accused me of being Goth on the terms that I listen to punkrock music and I wear black.
I'm not denying being Goth but, have mercy on my self-control- how erroneous were her observations and conclusions?! First of all, wearing black doesn't make you Goth. How stupid is she? And secondly? Punk rock? Is she nuts? I am not exactly the biggest punkrock fan- give me something orchestral or classic or screaming throat loud but punkrock is only something I listen to. I love it but why should that make me Goth?
And what will she make of Goths who don't listen to rock music? I should like to know.
She is just one of the many persons who have screwed up ideas of what Goth is and what it isn't and I wish that everyone would just shut up and stop spreading rumours about what they know nothing about.
Goth is more than what they class it as. It is being able to create light from the dark or dark from the light- depending on your mode of symbolism. I suppose Gothicism is a symbol, a sign that says: Not everything from the Darkside is the same. Not everything from the Darkside is evil. Not everything from the Darkside stands for the same things.
But people are yet to see and realize this as a philosophical truth- or whatever mode of 'truth' they adhere to.

All We Know Is Falling, the debut release from Paramore on Fueled By Ramen, marks the arrival of a truly enthralling new rock band. Powered by buoyant melodies and powerful hooks, the Tennessee-based outfit's debut is made indelible by the irresistible force of singer Hayley Williams. The 16-year-old vocalist's earnest emotion and strikingly confident range and phrasing set Paramore apart from the pack, with the joyous noise of songs such as "My Heart" and "Here We Go Again" evincing a passionate positivism that can't help move every listener in its path.

Raised in Meridian, Mississippi, Hayley has been raising her voice for as long as she can remember - singing and writing songs for talent contests and local commercials. At 13, her family moved to Franklin, Tennessee, where she made friends with two brothers - guitarist Josh and drummer Zac Farro. It wasn't long before the two teenaged musicians invited Hayley to sing in their fledgling band.

The Farros helped open up Hayley's musical horizons, introducing the talented young singer to a new world of music, from classic rock bands such as U2 and the Cure to such modern outfits as Sparta and Failure.

"It was all so new for me," she says. "It really challenged me to use my voice in different ways. It was also good for me as a writer because I realized that lyrics didn't have to be simple pop stuff; they could be harder and deeper."

The band, which also now featured Hayley's next door neighbor Jason Bynum on rhythm guitar, adopted the moniker Paramore and started performing and recording almost immediately. They played at local gatherings and their school talent show, then quickly began performing at rock venues in and around Franklin. The combination of musical energy between brothers, Jason and Hayley's bold charisma earned them instant attention.

Paramore concentrated on the next phase of their musical journey, spending the summer and early fall in a Nashville studio cutting their first real demos. "It was great," Hayley says. "We've learned a lot since then. I think we'd probably do a lot of things very differently now. But it was a great experience and I'm grateful we had the opportunity."

With many labels anxious to sign them, the band decided to release their debut album through Fueled By Ramen. Huge fans of many of the label's artists like Fall Out Boy and The Academy Is..., Paramore felt there was no better label to release All We Know Is Falling. "Fueled By Ramen is an amazing label," Hayley says. "Some of our favorite bands are on Fueled by Ramen. We knew that they would know exactly how to carry out the vision for our band and music."

After having seen Paramore perform only once, Fueled By Ramen's founder John Janick knew he had to sign the band. "I seldom find a band that I feel compelled to work with after just one encounter" John says. "I knew that I had to put out the Paramore record after I met the band. Their talent, sincerity and dedication exceed that of many bands."

In March 2005, Paramore temporarily relocated to sunny Orlando, Florida for a couple of months. With extensive touring obligations in their immediate future, the band felt they needed to fully hone in on all aspects of their musical life before recording All We Know Is Falling.

"We wanted to get away from the distractions of home and just practice, write songs, record and do shows - all the things that a band does," Hayley says.

Josh adds, "We missed home a lot. But it was awesome to be able to wake up and devote ourselves one hundred percent to playing our music."

While in Florida, Paramore began sessions for their much-anticipated first full-length collection, working with producers James Wisner (Dashboard Confessional, Further Seems Forever, Underoath) and Mike Green (Yellowcard, The Black Maria). The band also enlisted bassist John Hembree to fill in a deserted position and round out the line-up. They recorded new tracks such as "Emergency" and "Pressure" which display a musical enthusiasm and lyrical depth well beyond the band's relatively young ages. In addition to her open-hearted vocal style, Williams has worked hard to expose her life and emotions in her songs.

"I always try to write from personal experience," she says. "At first what I was writing was kind of metaphorical, but now I've been trying to be more straightforward. It's all about things that have happened to me or to the people that I love."

Paramore has won praise for their live performances, which have included dates alongside Less Than Jake, Anberlin and Copeland, as well as high profile performances on The Fueled By Ramen & Friends Tour, the Taste of Chaos Tour and the Bamboozle Festival. With this summer's Vans Warped Tour on the horizon, more enthralled Paramore fans will most certainly follow.

Says Josh, "We love making music together. We have the best time on stage, we feel so alive when we're playing. We're excited to have the world hear our songs and we hope they like what they hear. We can't wait to get out there more and have people see what this band is all about."

    Volume II

My eyes bid themselves to open
They look upon my deathly friend
    So beautiful within the moonlight
I'll never bid him go again

Again? But do I know this creature?
Was he the point of all this leisure?
"Love, are you real? Art thou fantastical?"
He's silent as he takes my hand

He draws me closer and I go
    I can't resist
    How? I don't know
He summons and I go to him
    In his embrace
    Out on the limb

He whisks me from the tree, and I
Try hard to believe this is no lie
As aimlessly we brush the ground
And there's no one else but us around

"Where are you taking me, dear, Love?
You've whisked me from my leir above.
And now that I am here with you
Sweet lover, tell me through and through
What is it that you want of me?
I plead, I humbly ask of thee
I feel as if we've met before
Were we in love, now less, now more?"

He smiles at me, his teeth sharp white
Then takes me off into the night

    Volume I

    Alone, in bed, I lay
My eyes, open, as I gaze
    Locked in a daze
    I am barely here

    Lonely, and wanting
    Wanting, wanting someone
Someone to want me in return
To share a few sweet words of
    bliss
Perhaps, share with me a tender
    kiss

    My eyes now close
    I shouldn't have
    But I have
I have allowed my thoughts to wonder
    Concentrate again
    Don't ponder

    Shame on my blasphemous muse
Betrayed me by the threes and twos
    Now, I'm lost in loneliness
The amulet lays on my chest
    But it shan't help me
    It can't save me
    Treason has again betrayed me

    My eyes are closed
    'Tis silent breath
    That givesme now
    this friend of death
